today i came across this site bookcrossingdotcom ... huge social gathering platform for the book lovers n avid readers.. m already registered cause i liked the idea too much... its abt releasing a book 'into the wild' i.e. at public places with some code registered on the site.. some unknown person finds it n enters that code on the site ..this is how u can trace ur book n know where its travelling.... the movement is mostly popular in europe.. in india there were few hundreds registered on the site.. mostly from mumbai n pune.. but none of them had released a single book... off course its highly doubtful if this will work in india if jus leave a book in public place lol.... but we start with secure n closed places like restaurant , multiplexes , cafes where the book is likely to remain safe n likely to fall in right hands... find more on this on the above site n happy reading.. adios amigos...
